AUCTION UPDATE
Our team has been brainstorming all summer regarding auction and fundraising for the upcoming school year. Many things will look different for the 2020-2021 school year, and our fundraising efforts will as well. It has become apparent that a large in-person event in November will not be possible, so we are developing alternate ideas to raise money for our school.
The PTA invests over $300,000 into Valley Oaks every year. Our biggest expense is two teachers’ salaries, but we also spend over $60,000 on school expenses ranging from library books to musical instruments to classroom supplies. We also pay for enrichment activities like Cultural Arts, Hands on Science and field trips. This year, we have increased our funding for supplies to keep our teachers and staff safe, as well as funding outreach efforts for VOE families affected by the pandemic.
Even though we are not able to hold a large event this year, your support is still absolutely critical to keeping our school running and offering the quality education that our children deserve. Please watch for more updates regarding our fundraising ventures as we begin the new year. We appreciate all of you for your continued support of our school and our children!
